Blackjack rules

Blackjack is the table game where your choices still matter. You and the dealer get cards. Number cards count as their face, pictures as 10, aces as 1 or 11. If you go over 21 you are done. If you stand, the dealer draws to 17 and you compare. Higher total wins an equal amount. A two-card 21 pays 3 to 2.

On this demo the dealer stands on soft 17 as well as hard 17. There is no split and no double. That keeps the buttons honest on a phone. It also means the practice return is a cousin of a full basic-strategy game, not a certified 99.5% table. The cash tables, when you use them, should say whether double after split exists and what blackjack pays. A 6 to 5 blackjack is a worse game. Decline it.

Blackjack hit and stand

• Stand on 17 or more. Hitting 17 is how a made hand becomes a bust.
• Hit a hard 11 or less. You cannot bust, so the extra card is free information.
• Against a dealer ace or ten, a stiff 12 to 16 is in trouble either way. The demo lets you feel that instead of pretending a chart will save every hand.

Insurance, the side bet against a dealer ace, is a poor price for most hands. We do not offer it here. If a live table pushes it, you can say no.

Flat stakes teach the game. Progressions teach you to fear a single lost hand more than you should. The account loss limit is the adult version of a progression: it stops the session, it does not chase it.
